Serverless inference with 10,000 free Neurons a day. Past that, calls fail unless you are on Workers Paid.
On the Free plan the daily allowance ends with an error, not a bill. Workers AI runs open models on Cloudflare's network and is included in both the Workers Free and Workers Paid plans. Pricing is measured in Neurons: everyone gets 10,000 Neurons a day at no charge, and usage above that costs $0.011 per 1,000 Neurons on Workers Paid. On Workers Free, the pricing page says operations fail with an error once you pass the allocation. The page also converts rates to tokens, for example Llama 3.2 1B at $0.027 per million input tokens and $0.201 per million output tokens. By those rates 10,000 Neurons is roughly half a million output tokens on the 1B model, my arithmetic from the page. Reddit posters split: one found it useless beyond experiments after burning 12% of the daily limit in five minutes, another called the free tier genuinely usable for a small analysis tool. I found no G2 or Trustpilot listing.
| Daily free allocation | 10,000 Neurons per day on both Workers Free and Workers Paid |
| Past the allocation on Workers Free | Further operations fail with an error. You need Workers Paid to go beyond 10,000 Neurons a day |
| Past the allocation on Workers Paid | $0.011 per 1,000 Neurons |
| Llama 3.2 1B Instruct | $0.027 per million input tokens and $0.201 per million output tokens (2,457 and 18,252 Neurons per million) |
| Llama 3.2 3B Instruct | $0.051 per million input tokens and $0.335 per million output tokens (4,625 and 30,475 Neurons per million) |
| What 10,000 Neurons buys | About 550,000 output tokens on Llama 3.2 1B or 330,000 on 3B, my arithmetic from the page's rates, ignoring input |
| Plans | Workers AI is included in both Workers plans. No separate AI subscription |
| Reported image use | An r/ArtificialInteligence post said 10,000 Neurons gives about 20 to 30 SDXL 512x512 images a day. It is a single undated post |
Last sniffed Oct 16, 2026. Always confirm on the official pricing page.
The free allocation is the same 10,000 Neurons a day on Workers Free and Workers Paid. The difference is what happens at the cap: on Workers Free the pricing page says further operations fail with an error, and to use more you sign up for Workers Paid and pay $0.011 per 1,000 Neurons above the free amount. Neurons are Cloudflare's own unit, so the page lists each model in both Neurons and tokens. Llama 3.2 1B Instruct costs 2,457 Neurons per million input tokens and 18,252 per million output tokens, which the page prices at $0.027 and $0.201. Llama 3.2 3B costs 4,625 and 30,475 Neurons, or $0.051 and $0.335. At those rates 10,000 Neurons is about 550,000 output tokens on the 1B model and about 330,000 on the 3B (my arithmetic, ignoring input tokens). The page I read lists only text models in this range, so check the Neuron cost of the model you plan to call. The pages I read do not state whether signing up needs a card or whether the free allocation is allowed for commercial use, so I left both unknown. I found no G2 or Trustpilot reviews. Reddit opinion is split between 'useless for real work' and 'genuinely usable' for a small tool, which is what you would expect from a free allocation that depends on the model you call.
$0.011 per 1,000 Neurons above the 10,000 a day included. The monthly price of the Workers Paid plan is on the Workers pricing page, which I did not read.
Llama 3.2 1B Instruct is $0.027 per million input tokens and $0.201 per million output tokens. Llama 3.2 3B Instruct is $0.051 and $0.335. Other models are listed on the Workers AI pricing page.
10,000 Neurons per day, on both Workers Free and Workers Paid.
On Workers Free, further operations fail with an error. On Workers Paid, usage above 10,000 Neurons a day is charged at $0.011 per 1,000 Neurons.
Cloudflare's billing unit for Workers AI. The pricing page lists each model's cost in Neurons per million tokens next to its dollar price.
Reddit opinion is split. One poster burned 12% of the daily limit in five minutes, another ran roughly 1,000 small analyses a day on the free tier. It depends on the model and request size.
The pages I read do not say. One Reddit post said no card was needed for testing, but it is a single undated post.
Workers AI pricing page read. Workers Paid monthly price not read. No G2 or Trustpilot listing found. Forum evidence comes from Reddit and Hacker News search excerpts.
