Messaging & Realtime
Push, email, SMS and in-app messaging. Free: unlimited mobile push up to 1,000 monthly active users.
The free plan adds 10,000 emails a month on top of mobile push. OneSignal sends mobile push, web push, email, in-app messages and SMS from one dashboard and API. The pricing page lists a Free plan at $0 with 10,000 email sends a month, unlimited mobile push, in-app messaging and Live Activities for organizations with up to 1,000 monthly active users, web push with a maximum of 10,000 subscribers per send, 3 active Journeys, 6 audience segments and 30 days of reporting history. Growth starts at $19 a month. G2 lists 1,243 reviews and Capterra shows 4.7 from 108, with cons that include missing features and cost.

The free mobile push limit changed. The pricing page says unlimited mobile push, in-app messaging and Live Activities apply to organizations with up to 1,000 monthly active users. A Reddit thread says the free tier was cut from 10K to 1K MAU, and older forum posts still say unlimited, so rely on the current pricing page. Monthly active users count any mobile subscription record active in the last 30 days, whether or not the user opted in to push. That definition comes from OneSignal's pricing FAQ. Web push is limited by subscribers, not MAU, at 10,000 per send on Free. On Free, subscription records are kept if they were active in the past 18 months. I did not confirm whether signup needs a card, or commercial terms for the free plan.
Monthly. Adds more automation, integrations, prioritized support and better analytics. Mobile push $0.012 per monthly active user, web push $0.004 per subscriber, email 20,000 free sends then $1.50 per 1,000.
Advanced marketing and analytics, all integrations, advanced experiments and advanced permission management, with up to 20 active Journeys.
Unlimited personalization, reporting history up to 2 years, security and compliance extras and a custom SLA.
The Free plan includes unlimited mobile push for organizations with up to 1,000 monthly active users, and web push up to 10,000 subscribers per send.
A mobile subscription record that was active in your app within the last 30 days, whether or not it opted in to push.
A r/reactnative thread says OneSignal cut the free tier from 10K to 1K MAU. The pricing page currently shows 1,000 MAU.
