APIVerveFree tier and limits

One API key and one credit balance for 300+ utility APIs, with 200 free credits a month.

One key covers a whole shelf of small utility APIs, so you sign up once. APIVerve sells a catalog of small utility APIs behind a single key and a single credit balance. The catalog covers lookups and converters such as validation, geolocation, text and image tools, file conversion and screenshots, and the pricing page counts more than 300 of them. The Free plan gives 200 credits a month, no credit card, access to every API and 5 requests per minute, but it requires attribution and is limited to non-commercial use. Most lookups cost 1 or 2 credits and heavier calls cost more, up to 40 credits for a screenshot, and failed requests are not charged. Starter at $29.99 a month adds a commercial license and 200,000 credits. Independent review evidence is thin: G2 shows a single 5.0 review from 2024.

πŸ‘ Good boy

  • +One key reaches every API in the catalog, so a project that needs an email validator, an IP lookup and a unit converter has one signup, one dashboard and one bill instead of three.
  • +The Free plan includes every API, not a cut-down subset, so you can try a real call to each endpoint you are considering before you pay.
  • +No credit card is needed for the Free plan, according to the pricing page, which removes the risk of a surprise charge while testing.
  • +Failed requests do not consume credits, and the page says the account gets email alerts at 80% and 95% of the monthly credit balance.
  • +Paid plans scale in clear steps: Starter $29.99 for 200,000 credits, Pro $99.99 for 1,000,000 and Mega $299.99 for 4,000,000, so you can estimate cost from a call count.
  • +Starter adds Zapier, Make and MCP access, which is useful if you want the same endpoints in no-code automations or AI agent tools.
  • +Pro adds scoped sub-keys, which let a team hand a limited key to one service instead of sharing the main key everywhere.
  • +Calls use a plain REST request with an API key, so a first request is a few lines of code. GraphQL is a Pro-plan feature.

πŸ‘Ž Watch out

  • βˆ’The Free plan requires attribution and is limited to non-commercial use, so you cannot ship a paid product on it. Commercial use starts at $29.99 a month.
  • βˆ’200 credits a month at 5 requests per minute is a testing allowance. A screenshot costs 40 credits, so five screenshots use the whole month.
  • βˆ’Credits are shared across every API and the cost per call varies from 1 to 100, so a bill depends on which endpoints you call. You need to check the credit cost of each endpoint before you estimate a budget.
  • βˆ’Credits do not roll over, and when the balance runs out requests return a 429 error until the next cycle or an upgrade.
  • βˆ’Independent reviews are scarce. G2 shows one review, a 5.0 from a student in July 2024, who liked the range of APIs and wanted an even broader selection. I did not find Trustpilot or Capterra reviews for it, and the one Reddit comment I read came from the founder.
  • βˆ’Uptime commitments rise with the plan: the page lists a periodic target for Free, 99% for Starter, 99.5% for Pro and 99.9% for Mega. A production workload that needs 99.9% means the $299.99 plan.
  • βˆ’A catalog of many small APIs means each one is simple. If you need deep coverage in one area, such as maps or payments, a specialist provider will have more features than a single utility endpoint.
  • βˆ’Support on Free is community only, and Starter email support has a 48 hour response target, which is slow for a production incident.

The catch

The Free plan is a testing plan. It gives 200 credits a month, 5 requests per minute, attribution on your output and non-commercial use only. Shipping a commercial product needs Starter at $29.99 a month, which adds a commercial license, 200,000 credits and 60 requests per minute. Credits are the unit of billing and each endpoint has its own cost. The pricing page says most lookups cost 1 or 2 credits and the range runs from 1 to 100 credits, with screenshots at 40. That makes the real number of free calls anywhere from 2 to 200 a month depending on what you call. Failed requests are not charged, credits do not roll over, and at zero balance requests return 429 until the cycle resets or you upgrade. The page text says the catalog has 300+ APIs and the endpoint listing I saw showed 387 entries, so the headline count is a floor. Review evidence is thin: one 5.0 review on G2 and nothing independent elsewhere that I could find. Treat the quality of each individual endpoint as something to test yourself on the Free plan before you commit.

Common questions

Is APIVerve free?

Yes, up to a limit. The Free plan gives 200 credits a month with no credit card, 5 requests per minute and access to all APIs. It needs attribution and is limited to non-commercial use.

How many calls do 200 credits buy?

It depends on the endpoint. The pricing page says most lookups cost 1 or 2 credits, so roughly 100 to 200 calls, while a screenshot costs 40 credits and five of them would use the month.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Credits reset each cycle and do not roll over. The page says that at zero balance requests return a 429 error.

Do failed requests use credits?

No. The pricing page says failed requests do not count against your balance.

Can I use the Free plan in a commercial product?

No. The Free plan is for non-commercial use and requires attribution. A commercial license starts on the Starter plan at $29.99 a month.

What happens if I upgrade or downgrade mid-month?

The page says upgrades are prorated and downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

Change history

  • Checked October 22, 2026

Pricing page shows Free at 200 credits a month, Starter $29.99, Pro $99.99 and Mega $299.99. G2 shows one review, a 5.0 from July 2024, and lists a Pro price of $99.97 that differs from the pricing page. The Reddit comment I found was written by the founder, so I did not use it as an independent opinion.
