Full-stack web hosting on Google Cloud. Not on the free Spark plan. Blaze adds a $300 credit if eligible.
App Hosting needs the pay-as-you-go Blaze plan, so budget for a bill. Firebase App Hosting deploys full-stack web apps onto Google Cloud, using Cloud Build and Cloud Run underneath, and ships new versions as rollouts. The forum questions I found include Next.js and Flask apps. It is not available on the no-cost Spark plan. You need the pay-as-you-go Blaze plan, which includes a $300 free credit if your account is eligible. App Hosting lists outgoing bandwidth free up to 10 GiB a month, then $0.20 per GiB uncached or $0.15 per GiB cached, and storage free up to 5 GB, then $0.10 per GB. Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging and Secret Manager are billed separately under Google Cloud pricing. I found no G2 or Capterra data, and the forum evidence is mixed, including an r/Firebase thread titled "I do not recommend Firebase App Hosting".

App Hosting is not available on the no-cost Spark plan. You need the Blaze plan, which is pay as you go and attaches a billing account. The pricing page says Blaze includes $300 of free credit for eligible accounts. Within App Hosting itself, outgoing bandwidth is free up to 10 GiB a month and then $0.20 per GiB uncached or $0.15 per GiB cached, and storage is free up to 5 GB and then $0.10 per GB. Those are the App Hosting lines only. Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging and Secret Manager are billed separately under Google Cloud pricing, and the compute behind your app is where most of a bill is likely to come from. Set a budget alert in Google Cloud before you deploy anything. An r/googlecloud poster who deployed with App Hosting asked about Cloud Run tier 2 billing, and a r/nextjs poster reported about 27 euros a month for roughly 500 monthly views on Cloud Run. The second case is Cloud Run, not App Hosting alone. Firebase Hosting, which lists 10 GB of storage and 360 MB a day free, is a separate product. I did not read whether Blaze needs a card to enable, so the card field is unknown, and I found no commercial-use statement.
Outgoing bandwidth is free up to 10 GiB a month, then $0.20 per GiB uncached or $0.15 per GiB cached. Storage is free up to 5 GB, then $0.10 per GB.
Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging and Secret Manager are billed under Google Cloud pricing and are not part of the App Hosting lines.
Not on the Spark plan. It needs Blaze, which is pay as you go and includes a $300 credit for eligible accounts. Some usage is free each month: 10 GiB of outgoing bandwidth and 5 GB of storage.
Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging and Secret Manager, billed under Google Cloud pricing.
Firebase Hosting is a separate product that lists 10 GB of storage and 360 MB a day free.
Forum evidence is mixed and thin. One long-time Firebase user posted that they would not recommend it in 2025, and Stack Overflow has questions about failing builds. I found no G2 or Capterra reviews.
After 10 GiB a month, outgoing bandwidth is $0.20 per GiB uncached or $0.15 per GiB cached.
Pricing page shows App Hosting not available on Spark, Blaze with a $300 credit for eligible accounts, and bandwidth at $0.20 per GiB uncached after 10 GiB.
