BetaListFree tier and limits

Startup directory for pre-launch and live products. Every submission is paid, with a refund if rejected.

BetaList is a directory where early adopters find new internet startups, and founders share a startup to get early users and feedback. It accepts pre-launch waitlists, private betas and products that are already live, as long as the startup is new to its audience and has its own domain. It has no free submission: the help center says all submissions are paid and that BetaList used to offer free submissions but now requires payment. Plans and prices appear at the end of the submission form. Payment is charged at checkout, then the editorial team reviews the startup. If it is not selected, the full payment is refunded automatically, and refunds stop once a startup has been featured. The Agent API page lists three plans that differ in how fast a startup is featured: Lite within about 14 days, Standard within about 3 days and Premium within about 1 day. BetaList says it prioritizes a clear value proposition, an idea the team has not seen before and a well-designed landing page. The Visit Site button on a featured listing is a do-follow link.

πŸ‘ Good boy

  • +Accepts waitlists, private betas and live products, so a launch is not required first
  • +Payment is refunded in full if the startup is not selected
  • +Plans trade price for speed, from about 14 days to about 1 day
  • +Editorial review means listed startups have been screened

πŸ‘Ž Watch out

  • βˆ’No free option: every submission is paid
  • βˆ’Prices only appear at the end of the submission form
  • βˆ’Refunds are not available once a startup has been featured
  • βˆ’Startups that are widely known or have had significant press coverage are not a fit
  • βˆ’Free hosting subdomains such as vercel.app and direct app store links are not accepted, so the startup needs its own domain
  • βˆ’BetaList does not give feedback on individual rejections

The catch

There is no free route. You pay first, and you get the money back only if the editors decline the startup.
